Exploring Transferable Skills
Transferable skills are your bus pass to navigating the job market, allowing you to jump sectors and roles. This workshop focuses not just on what they are, but where to find and capture them in the curriculum and outside of school.
With the rise in a talent economy, the second skillset or transferable skills are becoming the golden ticket to navigating the graduate labour market – but, what are these skills and how do we go about obtaining them?
Our Second Skillset workshop will get students engaging with a group of skills many will not realise they already have in some form. From identifying the most important skills in employers’ eyes to capturing them using a situation, task, action and response (STAR) approach and learning how to present them throughout the employment process, this interactive workshop provides vital foundations which will forever support your students’ career paths.
